Andrew MacDonald founded Maxwell Drummond International in 1987 with the aim of providing high quality search consultancy services to the oil and gas industry in the North Sea. Andrew is responsible for strategic direction and company growth and is proud to have led the company’s international development and to have worked with some of the most prestigious organisations in the oil and gas industry. Andrew believes that quality of service and managing client expectations are key and as a result Maxwell Drummond International has developed a highly tuned service culture that reflects these priorities.

Kevin Davidson joined Maxwell Drummond in 2001. Originally based in Aberdeen, he ran the UK operations of the company from 2003 and relocated to Houston in January 2004 to lead and build Maxwell Drummond's operations in North America as Vice President. Since that time, Kevin has also been responsible for Maxwell Drummond's expansion into Canada, Australia and Africa. Kevin transferred to London in 2008 to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operations worldwide. In July 2011, Kevin was promoted to Chief Executive Officer and is still based in London.

Kevin has strong expertise in senior executive, non-executive and multi-sector oil and gas search. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond Kevin worked with Scottish Enterprise as a Business Development Consultant and was responsible for attracting and retaining oil and gas focused foreign investment to Scotland.

He has a Masters degree in Economics and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Operation Eyesight (UK) Ltd and has previously held Board positions with other not-for-profit organisations including the British American Business Council and the International School of Aberdeen.

John Kennedy was appointed Chairman of Maxwell Drummond International in November 2007. His remit is to bring in-depth knowledge of the oil and gas industry, and high level experience working with prominent organisations, and to help Maxwell Drummond International as it moves through its current phase of expansion. John is a former chairman of Vetco International Limited, and was part of the management team that approached Halliburton to lead a buyout of Wellstream, where he has been Chairman since 2003. Previously John was the President of Dresser Enterprises, Executive Vice President of Halliburton and Chief Operating Officer of Brown & Root Energy Services. He is currently a Director of Intregra Group, a Russia-based oil services company and the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), a post he has held since 2005.

Mary McIntyre joined Maxwell Drummond's Houston office in 2006 and in early 2009 she relocated to our London office to continue to develop our international teams. Mary has successfully delivered a number of senior technical and executive level assignments with several clients across the oil and gas industry. Mary has worked with a number of global teams within Maxwell Drummond International for assignments in the US, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond International Mary was an Operations Supervisor with AIM Investment Services, with responsibilities including employee development, project management, corporate presentations, and entry level and management level hiring decisions.

Peter Roberts joined Maxwell Drummond International’s London team in 2007. Since joining the company Peter has handled a number of high impact executive appointments and has represented independent E&P companies, financial institutions, EPC and service companies. Peter has worked as a search professional for over 12 years and in that time he has worked for boutique oil and gas recruitment companies such as Cripps Sears, Norman Broadbent - Energy and Resources and Korn Ferry International. He has significant experience of managing technical, commercial and managerial appointments and has expertise across the EMEA region.

Andrew Hall joined Maxwell Drummond's London office in 2010 and is Head of the Commodity Capital Markets and Investment Banking search practice. He works across commodity trading, structuring, sales and origination covering agricultural products, coal and freight, commodity investor products, environmental products, power and gas, metals and oil. Andrew has particular in depth knowledge across the metals and mining, coal and freight and commodity investor products markets. Andrew also focuses on sourcing professionals, within investment banking, who specialise within oil and gas, metals and mining and the power and utilities sectors. Prior to joining Maxell Drummond, Andrew spent three years at a leading executive search firm where he was responsible for establishing their commodity business. He also has experience of working within investment banking search, having previously run a debt capital markets desk for a UK based search and selection firm where he focused specifically on leverage finance and financial sponsors.

Steve Cardno joined Maxwell Drummond International as Chief Financial Officer in September 2007. Although based in Aberdeen he is very internationally focused and maintains overall financial responsibility for each region. Before to joining Maxwell Drummond International Steve held various senior financial positions, mainly in the Subsea Oil and Gas sector.

Sean Buchan joined Maxwell Drummond as a Research Consultant in 2006 and was quickly promoted to Consultant where he worked on a range of senior projects across the Oil and Gas value chain for positions in Europe, the Middle East, West Africa, Southeast Asia and the Americas. In January 2009 Sean was promoted to General Manager for the UK and in 2011 became Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is now responsible for leading these regional teams and driving the consistent delivery of the firm's executive search projects.

Sean's main areas of expertise are the oilfield services space and working for Exploration and Production companies. Sean has successfully worked on several CEO assignments for service companies ranging from start-ups to established international businesses. He has also been responsible for leading projects to build new leadership teams as well as working on senior level searches for Operator companies.

Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond Sean worked for an international recruitment business where he was responsible for establishing a new oil and gas section, this business was focused on senior technical positions ranging from subsurface to operations and design orientated positions.

Hilary began her recruitment career in 1995 and joined Maxwell Drummond International in 2000. Hilary is acknowledged in the UK energy sector as an experienced and knowledgeable search professional. Hilary has responsibility for account managing many of our high profile UK and international clients as well as delivering on key assignments. Hilary specialises in senior technical and board level appointments for operating and service companies throughout the global oil and gas sector, she has a vast experience managing project related work which has included an internal study into the global comparison of deepwater drilling and completions specialists within operators, independents and service companies. Hilary’s earlier career was spent working within the banking and finance industries. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond Hilary managed major oil and gas accounts with Aberdeen Appointment Agency.

John Cameron started his career with Maxwell Drummond in early 2007 and is currently a Principal Consultant in our Aberdeen office. John’s experience at Maxwell Drummond includes managing executive level searches as well as large multiple role assignments in commercial and technical disciplines, he has an excellent knowledge of the oil and gas industry and has worked with clients ranging from start up technology businesses and subsea service companies to major oil companies. John joined Maxwell Drummond from an internationally renowned agency where he was responsible for a successful team of technical engineering consultants providing a wide range of technical disciplines and managers for the Oil and Gas service sector.

Derek Reeley joined Maxwell Drummond as a Consultant in April 2010 and is responsible for executing senior level assignments across the oil and gas supply chain, he has a strong background in working on commercial and business development roles. Before joining Maxwell Drummond Derek worked with Aberdeen Appointment Agency holding a number of positions across the business, he was initially employed as a Consultant within the organisations Technical Division, with responsibility for the recruitment of Engineering and Supply Chain personnel to the Oil and Gas Industry, Derek then progressed into the role of Assistant Manager. A further promotion into the role of Executive Division Manager followed where he focused on Technical Sales, Business Development and General Management roles within the UK and Internationally.

Jamie Ferguson joined Maxwell Drummond’s Aberdeen team in 2006 to focus on executive search in the energy sector. In 2007 he was promoted to General Manager in Aberdeen and in 2009 Jamie relocated to Houston as Vice President of Maxwell Drummond’s USA and Latin America business. In July 2011 Jamie was promoted to Vice President of Global Business Development and now focuses on supporting Maxwell Drummond's business development and marketing activities worldwide.

Jamie has extensive experience managing executive level searches for clients spanning the oil and gas value chain and has deep industry networks developed from working on assignments in over 20 countries on 6 continents.

Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond International Jamie began his executive search career in 1999 and has held senior roles in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US. Jamie has recruited in several industries during his recruitment career including Energy, Banking and Financial Services.

Lance Boll joined Maxwell Drummond International in 2005, he is an experienced search professional, primarily focused on the energy, utilities and chemicals sectors. He has placed board members, presidents, CEOs and executive-level functional management in engineering, manufacturing, finance/accounting, marketing and supply chain positions. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond, Lance was a successful recruiter with Heidrick and Struggles. Before entering the executive search industry Lance was a Strategy Consultant at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young Energy, Utility and Chemical Practice.

Brian Coffman joined Maxwell Drummond in Houston as a Senior Consultant before transferring to Calgary to manage the company’s Alberta operations in 2009. In 2011, Brian was promoted to Vice President Americas and now oversees operations in the United States, Canada and South America.

Brian has been involved with a range of search projects at the executive, mid-management and technical levels in North America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond, Brian worked in Human Resources for BHP Billiton. He has broad experience in international executive/professional recruitment and human resource management, including performance management and appraisal, training, compensation, and compliance. Brian has over 13 years of Executive Search / Human Resources experience.

Graeme Edge joined Maxwell Drummond in 2007 as a Senior Consultant in our Calgary office. In 2011 Graeme was promoted to General Manager, Canada. Graeme is an accomplished search specialist with expertise in many functional disciplines such as Human Resources, Finance, Sales and Marketing, General Management, Operations and Project Management.

Graeme has worked in most sectors of the upstream oil and gas industry including major independent operators, EPC contractors, oilfield service companies, subsea and the SME technology sector. Graeme is committed to partnering with his clients to ensure success; his expertise spans the North American, European, North African and Middle East markets, with extensive experience in recruiting senior executives and specialised technical professionals worldwide.

Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond in Canada, Graeme worked for a leading executive search firm based in Aberdeen where he coordinated their domestic and international research as well as executing senior level projects on behalf of major international oil and gas clients.

Philip de Waal was appointed as Vice President Asia Pacific for Maxwell Drummond in September 2011. He joined the Houston office of Maxwell Drummond in 2007 as Business Development Manager. From September 2007 until August 2011 he established a presence for Maxwell Drummond in Africa by opening an office in Johannesburg. He successfully completed several executive and technical search assignments for South African and international clients from Johannesburg. Philip remains a fully integrated team member of the Maxwell Drummond family and will participate with our international offices on future search assignments to bring the value of a fully integrated service provider to our clients.

Rodney Govender joined Maxwell Drummond as a Senior Consultant in July 2010, and is focused on the oil, gas and mining sectors. He has worked on executive level assignments in South Africa as well as the Middle East markets. Rodney’s expertise is business development and start up business units. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond, Rodney began his ten year recruitment career working with contingent firms as a consultant where he was very quickly promoted to business manager. In his last role Rodney recruited and researched at all levels across several disciplines including Banking and Financial Services, Commercial, Retail and Mining, IT and Office Support. He has worked in Qatar setting up the Manpower Professional business specialising in the Oil & Gas sectors and was responsible in building and developing a successful business in the Middle East.

Elliott began his career at Maxwell Drummond International in 2005. He joined the Houston office where he built a thorough knowledge of the oil and gas industry focusing on exploration and production clients from Independents to Super Majors, as well as service companies. He was then asked to support, and later relocated to the London office, where he developed his skill set within engineering, procurement, and construction, while building key relationships in the major energy markets worldwide. Elliott has a demonstrable track record and has successfully placed key executive and specialist technical talent for a variety of clients across the oil and gas industry, from Private Equity backed start-ups, to AIM listed clients, and Large CAP organizations.

Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond, Elliott worked with Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor and in Heidrick & Struggles’ Industrial and Financial Practice; where he was integral in placing senior executives in the world’s largest oil and gas service providers and major EPC organisations.

Terri began her career with Maxwell Drummond in 2006 as a Research Consultant in the Houston office, Terri’s commitment to developing Maxwell Drummond’s research capability and successful delivery on a wide variety of commercial and technical assignments have seen her promoted to Research Manager and subsequently Consultant. Terri has extensive international experience and has executed range of search projects at the executive, mid-management and technical level across North and South American, European, African, Middle Eastern, Asian and Australian markets. Terri has spent time in several of our international offices; in 2009 she was seconded to Aberdeen where she focused on executive search in the upstream energy sector and in 2010 she relocated to Perth to assist the Australian business unit and gain valuable exposure to the South East Asia market. Terri is currently a Consultant in our London office working on executive and senior technical searches and projects spanning technical and commercial disciplines.

Delaina Allen joined the Houston office in early 2010 to work as a Consultant at Maxwell Drummond; she has extensive experience of working on a range of search projects at the executive, mid-management and technical level. Delaina has over has over 15 years recruitment, management and business development experience in oil & gas, accounting/finance, e-commerce, supply chain, engineering and human resources. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond International Delaina worked as a senior consultant for Futurestep, a Korn Ferry International Company, where she executed searches for the Weatherford International RPO.

Lisa Criss joined Maxwell Drummond in April 2010 and is a Consultant on Maxwell Drummond’s Schlumberger project; she has over 15 years recruitment experience and is accomplished in candidate identification, recruiting, project coordination and process improvement. Lisa has experience of executive level recruitment across oil and gas, supply chain management / industrial distribution, finance, human resources, marketing, legal and IT. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond, Lisa recruited nationally at all levels for the world’s leading gas supplier to industry, health and the environment.

Laurie Smith recently joined Maxwell Drummond International and brings with her over 20 years of experience in the recruiting industry. Laurie is committed to exceeding client expectations by consistently sourcing and securing the best candidates in the market. Laurie's previous experience includes owning and operating her own staffing firm as well as working for publicly and privately held organisations. Her duties have encompassed recruiting and placement for permanent and contract personnel, operations, sales and management.

Augusto Carneiro is the founder of Zaitech, Maxwell Drummond International's partner in Rio de Janeiro. He has fourteen years experience in the executive search industry, working as a partner at Korn/Ferry for six years before founding Zaitech in 2004. Zaitech specializes in executive search in the oil, gas, energy and mining sectors as well as executive coaching. Prior to executive search, Augusto held various Finance positions at Citibank, Xerox and Shell and owned his own Mergers & Acquisitions advisory for ten years.

Augusto graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a degree in Management Science and holds an MBA from UCLA. He obtained his Executive Coach credential at The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara and is certified in the use of leadership assessments including MBTI©- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Level One and Level Two (Jungian personality types), Firo-b© (teamwork), Thomas Kilman Inventory© (negotiation and confrontation). Augusto’s book, Guia de Sobrevivência na Selva Empresarial (Corporate-Jungle Survival Guide), published in Brazil by Elsevier in 2009, is on its 2nd edition and he speaks native-level English and Portuguese and has a working knowledge of Spanish, French and Italian.

Sandeep Chaggar joined Maxwell Drummond in January 2010 and currently manages the research function in the London office. Sandeep joined Maxwell Drummond as a senior researcher having gained nearly four years experience prior to joining with another oil and gas executive search consultancy.

Sandeep began her recruitment career seven years ago starting out in Retail and IT contingent recruitment before moving into Executive Search over 5 years ago and has since held senior research roles within the energy space. Since joining Maxwell Drummond, Sandeep has gone from strength to strength and built a thorough knowledge in the oil and gas industry and built key relationships in the major energy markets worldwide. Sandeep now applies the knowledge and experience that she has gained throughout her career to manage individual searches and project exercises spanning the Energy industry for Maxwell Drummond International. She has extensive experience of recruiting for E&P and service companies active globally and has helped in the delivery of a number of senior level positions up to CEO level for operating companies, oil field services, and oil and gas contractors.

Jessica Garvey joined Maxwell Drummond International in London as a Consultant in November 2010. Jessica specialises in upstream Oil and Gas Recruitment, Engineering & Projects. Before joining Maxwell Drummond International Jessica has 4 years industry experience within the Aberdeen Oil and Gas Market working for Recruitment Specialists NES & Orion Engineering.

Mark Froggatt joined Maxwell Drummond’s Houston team as a Senior Consultant in 2012. Mark has held a range of executive and advisory roles in the oil & gas sector over 20 years since graduating in Law from Cambridge University. He worked with Mobil and then BP in the UK, France and Spain, before joining Ernst & Young as a Director and sector expert. Mark was subsequently Head of Natural Resources & Energy at a UK investment bank, and opened their Houston office, before returning to an executive role with a services company, also based in Houston. He maintains close links with many UK- and US-based majors and independents - both E&P and services companies - and as a fluent Spanish speaker has undertaken several projects in Mexico and other Latin American countries.

Rachael began her executive recruitment career with Maxwell Drummond International in 2010 and has since held roles in both our Houston and Calgary offices. Rachael has successfully executed senior technical and executive level assignments across many disciplines across Oil, Gas and Petrochemical sectors including Business Development, Engineering, Facilities, Geosciences, Land, Operations and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining Maxwell Drummond International, Rachael received her Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Upon completing her degree, Rachael was a small business owner for nearly ten years.

Simon Chinn joined Maxwell Drummond’s Aberdeen office as a Consultant in January 2012 and is responsible for executing senior level assignments across all sectors in the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining MDI, Simon worked for a leading recruitment firm based in Aberdeen (Scotland), where he ran the Oil & Gas Engineering Recruitment Division. Simon is an accomplished recruiter with expertise in many functional disciplines, working in most sectors of the upstream oil and gas industry. This has included working with Major Operators as well as large Independent Producers, EPC/M Contractors, oilfield service companies and the SME technology sector. Additionally, Simon has also had exposure to the Renewable Energy industries.

Rachel Blais-Dionne joined Maxwell Drummond in 2010 as a Research Consultant in our Calgary office. In 2012 Rachel was promoted to Associate Consultant. Rachel joined Maxwell Drummond from a leading recruitment agency where she worked as a Consultant. She brings 5 years of recruitment experience which includes researching executive level searches in various sectors of the energy industry, with primary focus on intermediate and major E&P companies, both domestically and internationally. She has executed searches ranging from executive leadership and board level appointments to highly specialized technical leadership positions.
